The Rocky Horror Show - 2012 - Ryan as Riff-Raff
Roxy Regional Theatre
"you will find yourself completely mesmerized by RYAN BOWIE’S completely fresh take on Riff Raff, Frank’s major domo and ultimate oppressor who directs the “Time Warp” with unparalleled style and whose delivery of every line is made with the utmost conviction. Cutting to the chase, he’s fucking amazing."

The Wedding Singer - 2012 - Ryan as George
Roxy Regional Theatre
"The supporting cast is virtually overflowing with talent: RYAN BOWIE(as the hair-whipping George, the effeminate doppelganger for Culture Club’s frontman Boy George) is wonderful, showing off his versatility with ease and infusing the show with his focused performance."

Spring Awakening - 2012 - Ryan as Ernst
Roxy Regional Theatre
"...(the) Act Two seduction of Ernst (the always superb RYAN BOWIE, whose stage presence should be studied by aspiring thespians so easily does he command the stage) was played to discomfiting perfection."

The Sound of Music - 2011 - Ryan as Max Detweiler
Roxy Regional Theatre
"RYAN BOWIE, who has proven himself an invaluable and versatile part of the Roxy's extensive stable of talent since his arrival, scores yet again with his vivid portrayal of show business impresario Max Detweiler, the lovable "uncle" of the von Trapp siblings who shepherds them onstage for his own gains. Bowie's portrayal of the effete Max, thoroughly over-the-top and so fey that he'd probably end up as Nazi cannon fodder the moment the first panzer rolled across the border, provides a breath of fresh air that completely enlivens any scene in which he is present."

Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver - 2011 - Ryan as Alex
Roxy Regional Theatre
"BOWIE, clearly a musical force to be reckoned with, shows his vocal dexterity in Almost Heaven, proving himself equally adept with country pop and folk music as he is with more traditional showtunes."

The Civil War - 2011 - Ryan as Confederate Captain
Roxy Regional Theatre
"In the show's penultimate number, RYAN BOWIE, playing a Southern officer) sings the lovely "Last Waltz for Dixie," as he exhorts his soldiers to fight on and "to do the undoable on the eve of Gettysburg," as the program informs you. Bowie's performance of the song is extraordinary, in keeping with his immense talents, and the song is moving and sweetly sentimental."

Ain't Misbehavin' - 2011 - Ryan as Director/Choreographer
Roxy Regional Theatre
"Stylishly mounted and superbly performed."
"BOWIE'S vision for the musical allows the audience to see the cast members backstage in their dressing rooms, giving us a glimpse of their personal interactions, then we watch them transform into the onstage personas, presenting a top-flight nightclub revue. It's a clever way to involve the audience more actively in what's going onstage and around them - particularly as BOWIE moves his actors throughout the theatre, making use of every nook and cranny the Roxy has to offer."

Around the World in 80 Days - 2010 - Ryan as Actor 1
Roxy Regional Theatre
"...While the cast was all-around strong, two standout performances were delivered by Collin Smith (mainly Detective Fix) and RYAN BOWIE, who between them play 17 characters, each with different caricatred accent. At one point, BOWIE, playing to both the audience and the other characters, ran through the gauntlet of his voices in such a madcap barrage that there was no room for deserved applause amid the guffaws of laughter.

Dracula: The Musical - 2010 - Ryan as Jonathan Harker
Roxy Regional Theatre
"...RYAN, I was serious when I complimented you last night. You can take any song and make it your own. You craft and mold it and bring it to us on a silver platter. It is really meaningful to hear you sing. I can't say those 'Dracula' songs (or perhaps that composer) are all that fabulous, but you added so much to the evening."

Into the Woods - 2010 - Ryan as The Baker
Roxy Regional Theatre
"...But, truth be told, it is the men of the cast who really bowl you over with their superb voices and on-target acting choices. RYAN BOWIE does so with a vigor and commitment that is admirable - and definite foreshadowing of what might be expected from him later in his career. He has a strong voice, and an even stronger stage presence, that breathes fire and life into his scriptbound character, and his duets with Stricker-Dispensa are genuinely heartfelt. Clearly, the Baker is the star of this production of Into the Woods."

The Fantasticks - Ryan as Matt
Seagle Music Colony
"...followed by an eager Matt, the boy next door, played by RYAN BOWIE, and the story begins in earnest. BOWIE and Cahill make us laugh gleefully and respond to their beautiful voices... Both are adept at portraying the vim and the near insanity embodied in young love."

Music of the Night - Ryan as the Tenor
Seagle Music Colony
"The fine singers were magnificent - - with voices beyond description." "I can't say enough about the Seagle Colony singers."
- - Tom Burns, Queensbury, NY
"These young people can sing. I was especially charmed by the sometime contrast between their youthful looks and their giant voices. RYAN BOWIE, in particular, looks like the lead character in a children's television show but sings with a booming deep voice that resounded from the back walls. I could still imagine him as the young high school musical star he must have been, even as he's clearly on the brink of a hopefully successful grown-up career."

How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying - Ryan as J. Pierpont Finch
Seagle Music Colony
"RYAN BOWIE made the Seagle Music Colony's Tuesday night production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" a believable affair. He was perfectly cast. Seemingly ingenuous and diplomatic to a fault as J. Pierpont Finch, he hid a crafty brain behind that big wide grin. He held the stage well as the show's centerpiece. And he sang great, too. His tenor voice with its edged clarity and excellent diction was Broadway caliber. BOWIE headed a 20 member cast that had the moves, the clever gestures and posturing, the dance steps and the high energy was down pat."

Anything Goes - Ryan as Billy Crocker
Seagle Music Colony
"She found an excellent partner in dynamic RYAN BOWIE, a song-and-dance man who seemed made for the role of Billy Crocker. His romantic rendering of "Easy to Love" showed him to be a heartthrob of Broadway dimensions. The belting of "You're the Top" by BOWIE and Bunsold was a happy reminder that (1) beautifully trained voices can still fill a house and (2) they just don't write songs like that any more."

A Chorus Line - Ryan as Richie
Seagle Music Colony
"RYAN BOWIE as Richie was especially effective with his clear-edged voice, but he also has a lot of pizzazz as he covered the stage dancing."

Damn Yankees - Ryan as Joe Hardy
Frostburg State University
"The illustrious Joe Hardy, brought to life by RYAN BOWIE, helped the show to success. His spectacular singing voice blended beautifully with the talents of Coty Warn (Lola) and his emotional presence on-stage made his appearance with Joshua Orto (Satan) truly captivating."

Into the Woods - Ryan as Jack
Frostburg State Univeristy
"The irrepressible RYAN BOWIE played "Jack" and could be seen showing genuine affection for his beloved cow he calls, "Milky White," who he refers to as 'he' despite being able to produce milk."
